My Vision on Yoga
Yoga to get out of your head, and into your body :)
Yoga is not just about flexibility and handstands and doing splits and deep backbends, binds or flipping your grip. Yoga is also about being gentle to yourself and coming home to your body. Sometimes a nap is the 'yoga' thing to do! Yoga is also a great tool to practice mindfulness by focussing on your breath in movement.
Restorative Yoga
My teaching is a mix of restorative yoga and resources to bring the autonomic nervous system back into ventral state. Translation: I help you relax your nervous system with simple exercises, followed by a lovely calming restorative yoga practise, so double effect :)
Vinyasa Yoga
I like to see myself as a flow facilitator, or a holder of space for relaxation. Because I am not the teacher, you are. The true teaching happens within; what is your practice reflecting back to you? Are you comparing, impatient, 'not good enough', pushing too hard, etc. Our yoga practise reflects our lessons and at the same time provide an opportunity to practise work on them while finding more love, light and softness.
Yin Yoga
Every body is unique and different every day. Therefore we need something different than our neighbor and than we needed yesterday. Therefore I teach in options, I love figuring out what the best stretch for you is today and I encourage you to listen to your body, cause the wisdom comes from within.
